Amala is a highly experienced and compassionate GP with a special interest in women’s health.  Amala is a co-founder of Women’s Health Torquay and has been providing comprehensive care to patients at the Surfcoast Medical Centre since 2006, where she is a Director.

Amala started her medical career at Fremantle hospital, WA in 2000 with emphasis in obstetrics, gynaecology, and general medicine. She is well known for her ability to listen and understand her patient’s concerns, and working tirelessly to help find them the best healthcare outcomes.  Amala has extensive experience in managing complex issues such as supporting women and families experiencing family violence in a multicultural environment, Perinatal mental health, and all aspects of women’s health.

 Amala loves spending time with her family. With two adult children who have flown the nest, you’ll often spot Amala taking long coastal walks with her husband and fur-child.
